MCJC Vice President
I am an 8th grader at Pyle Middle School and am so excited to be the MCJC Vice President. My main goal is to represent the students of MCPS by understanding what they want to see in their schools. To do this, I will be visiting schools and talking to students from all across the county. Another way that I will be able to learn the student perspective is if you email me at about what you want to change in our county's middle schools!
My name is Gretchen Gilmore and my promise as an MCJC Officer is to look out for other minorities and fight for our rights as students. I’ve been in student leadership since first grade, through my schools and am not immune to the trials we face. I’d love to hear your ideas for our county and work with everyone!
My name is Nirav Akkanapragada and I’m the MCJC Treasurer for the 2019-2020 school year. I am a rising 7th grader at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School in the Humanities Program. My vision for the year includes hosting a series of fundraisers to increase awareness and bring in money to accomplish MCJC's endeavors. I also hope to pilot the GRANT program, which would provide financial assistance to underfunded SGA's. I hope that you all have an amazing year and I can't wait to work with the executive board this year. Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would love to hear the idea you guys have on how we should earn the money we use and also about what we should spend it on.
Hi all middle school students of Montgomery County Public Schools. My name is Ava Milisits, I am in the Humanities and Communications Program at Roberto Clemente Middle School. I will be your Montgomery County Junior Council President for the 2019-2020 school year! As President, I will accomplish all of my campaign goals and use the three principles of diversity, advocacy, and innovation to guide me as well as MCJC. In my spare time, I love to play soccer, run, write poetry, and read. The officers and I have exciting ideas and plans for this year. We are so excited for this year and to get and know each and every one of you, including SGA’s. Thank you so much!
